FAQ - ClickComments

1. What are ClickComments?

ClickComments are comments that your readers can give with just one click on an icon that expresses what they want to communicate to you about your blog post.

2. Will ClickComments be seen in my RSS feed?

ClickComments will show up in your feed only if you are publishing with WordPress. For all other blog platforms, it will not show up in your feed. We are working on making RSS feed ClickComments optional for all platforms.

3. How many ClickComments can a reader give me?

A reader can give one clickcomment per blog posts.

4. Do I need to register?

You can get ClickComments on your blog without providing your email address. If you provide your email address, then you can easily log in and customize ClickComments. When you provide an email address we will create an account for you and email you the password. Please check your spam filter if you haven't received it.

5. How do I get ClickComments on my blog?

You can add ClickComments to your blog by fill this simple form. You can have ClickComments installed and working on your blog in 2 minutes. It installs on BlogSpot/Blogger and TypePad in 3 clicks. We also support many other blog platforms.

6. Why do the recommended posts show the URL of my posts and not the title?

It is because your blog has not be registered properly. PostReach does not have the right ATOM/RSS feed of your blog.

You can log in and check the section labeled Blog info to make sure that the RSS/Atom feed is correct. If not, click on edit and then update your feed. Remember to click save changes after making the changes. Also make sure that your RSS/Atom feed contains your post titles.

7. How do I change the icon set or color that shows up on the ClickComments box?

Please log in and click on edit in the section labeled Blog info. You can change both the comment set as well as the theme of the ClickComments widget. Remember to click save changes after making the changes.

If you have not registered with your email address, you will need to register with your email and blog URL to get the login/password in order to log into the system. Login/password will be sent to you via email. Please check your spam filter if you haven’t received.

8. How do create an account if I already added ClickComments from a widget or plug-in directory?

9. How do I add another blog to my account?

Please log in and click on Add a blog on the right menu of the page.

10. Will ClickComments negatively affect my Google PageRank?

No. ClickComments uses Javascript. Search engines do not read the Javascript part of web pages. Therefore ClickComments can not negatively effect your Page Rank.

11. What happened to PostReach GuestPosts?

We have decided to discontinue the GuestPost service to focus on growing ClickComments. We may reintroduce an improved version of GuestPosts later. We would like to thank all the users that tried out GuestPosts and provided feedback on the service.
